It makes a lovely morning balm during times when more moisture retention is needed plus has the added benefit of enhancing your SPF with potent UV protective antioxidants. Once absorbed fully it gives a velvet finish with a hint of glow.

Scent: A spa-like, calming meditative experience with blue tansy, lavender, and full-spectrum frankincense extract.
Skin Types: Skin with a combination of adequate to low oil production that is prone to congestion.
Texture: This is a very soft balm that melts on contact with the skin. Providing an ultra-nourishing yet lightweight layer.
Note: In weather fluctuations, small little butter beads can form but are easily melted into the skin through massage. Or if you prefer the original smooth consistency: place the jar (with the lid on) in hot water filled to just below the bottom of the lid. Once melted, place in the freezer and remove after an hour. Once the balm reaches room temperature it returns to a smooth consistency.
Updated Formula! Due to supplier availability, the balm no longer includes Gromwell Root Co2 extract. As a result, the COLOR CHANGED from red/purple to green/blue.

Whenever we use the Rooted Balm during facials clients always ask what it is ? The feel and scent of the balm are absolutely heavenly. It’s also really great for congested or dry skin, which has been crucial during the dry winter months!
I initially didn't purchase this, thinking it was meant for oiler skins. But since I have very dry skin that ALSO gets acne that often is made worse by some oil/balms, I tried it. What an amazing surprise! It was very moisurizing without being too thick or greasy, and the breakouts I was experiencing at the time were literally gone in two days. My skin looked clearer than it had in months. I use with the Forest Restoring Complex and a couple of drops of the Brightening Vitamin C serum.
I bought this over Black Friday after not having it for years. I forgot how wonderful this product is. If your skin isn’t oily or acne prone, not overly dry but mostly dehydrated and can become clogged if you put on certain occlusives/balms then this is for you. This ticks off all the boxes. It’s calming and hasn’t irritated my eyelid eczema. It’s not pore clogging but packs enough punch to where I don’t wake up feeling like it just rubbed off on my pillow at night. It feels like it’s actually nourishing the skin and not just sitting on top of it. Please do not ever change this formula.
I love everything about this balm. I love how soft it keeps my skin, and how I can scale up or down as needed based on how my skin is looking and feeling.
This is an amazing product! I use very little and it provides a beautiful layer of product that hydrates, locks and doesn’t break me out! The jar will last me a long time! I use it after the oil and my face doesn’t look greasy in contrary looks healthy! I will definitely repurchase when I am finished.
