Hand-knitted cloths made with 100% agave fiber. This unique textile lends gentle, physical exfoliation. Once wet, it becomes malleable and softer over time. Similar abrasion to that of a dry brush, it can help with circulation as part of a lymphatic massage during your shower.
We love this cloth as a low-waste alternative to using body polishes and scrubs. They are fully biodegradable and compostable and last between 3-5 years.
As part of a Fair-trade relationship, the work supports 115+ women/families and provides in-school lunch programs, recycling programs, and now a local clinic.
"Ixtle" is the name of a traditional fiber art of the Nahuatl and other indigenous people of southern Mexico. Ixtle, pronounced eesht-lee or eesht-lay, comes from the Nahuatl word for maguey (agave) fiber.
